Bus rental in Lyon

An important Roman outpost, important enough to have its own amphitheatre and Odeon which still stand today, Lyon continued on to become the silk-weaving capital of Europe. Now one of the top places to visit in France, this colourful city is packed with enough sights and attractions to fill a summer holiday, let alone a long weekend. You will find yourself surrounded by the past wherever you go. Lyon old town is a picturesque maze of narrow streets which hide traboules opening out onto hidden courtyards and covered passageways, many of them now housing cafes and restaurants. La Croix-Rousse is a quaint hillside district with a farmer’s market. While at the Parc de la Tete d’Or you can delight in the views from a green oasis. In stunning contrast, the Confluences museum crouches over the city with its modern glass and steel structure. Lyon is festival mad. At Nuits de Fourvière you can sit in the original Roman theatre or at other locations throughout the city to enjoy a play or open-air concert. There’s the Nuits Sonores for electronic music lovers, the Lyon Festival of Lights, and the Grand Lyon Film Festival to name but a few.
